How's George's long run pace?
Consistent, but don't know if it's fast enough. Yesterday Max was on mid 32s on C3... so :wtf:

Thank you
It looks very promising

Looked great on C2.

George seemed to be around 0.3-0.4s down on Oscar while on the C3 (first stint).
Then it seemed like he matched Oscar in the second stint (C2). But need to see the averages calculated minus the outliers, because Oscar had traffic in the last couple of laps of his stint.
And on the third stint, it was around 0.2s down on Oscar as far as I was keeping track on, but Oscar also cut his run short ending at 51 laps, so not sure if we can compare them.

Pretty strong race run overall. Slightly different track conditions, with Russell doing his stint later than Oscar. Not 1:1 comparable, but close enough. Mercedes seems to be in a good position, with deg being improved and pace not being bad at all even on higher temps today.

Would be nice to have a proper comparison with Lando today because I do believe Lando would be faster than Oscar on race-pace, but the run today bodes well for Mercedes I would say. Unfortunately, no runs for Ferrari with Lewis so we don't know what to make of them.

Haven't felt this positive after testing in years, great to see. I see a lot of positivity within the team as well. Kimi looks fantastic, so far so plenty to look forward to this season, even though we probably won't be contending for a championship.

Disappointing, they look 3rd or 4th fastest like they have been since 2022 but we will see come Australia which will be hot. Never lower the standards of this team who should be fighting for championships, anything less is failure.

Nonsense. I reckon we're tied for second with Red Bull. Ferrari is running on hype and nothing else, they looked terrible today, especially in Hamilton's hands.

I'm not sure what testing session you were watching, but it can't have been the 2025 edition.

They looked nowhere as slow as 4th at any point really. Of the top 4 teams, I'd say Ferrari and RBR should have more pause for thought.

Most out of touch post you will see.

Oblivious to the dire situation Merc have found themselves in during this era. Total delusion to believe this team could mount any sort of realistic challenge, beyond 3rd or 4th.

All in all, a positive test.

Agree with this. Merc look tied with RBR for P2 but could slip to P3 if Ferrari finds a good setup in the next week

That’s a big IF for Ferrari to get on top of it in time. Remember they’re using a double pull-rod suspension so setup going to be a pain to do.

Fair point. may take them at least a few races to get on top of it

Rb a wildcard according to Hughes.

Hughes don’t know what he’s talking about. As fast as Ferrari couldn’t be anymore further from the truth.

What a bunch of nonsense in that article. At no point in the afternoon was Hamilton matching George's pace on anything. Did he even watch the testing, or is he just making stuff up as he goes?
