Three practice sessions will paint the best picture.
Do you mean the first 3 races?
Yes. If it's dry. We would get a clear picture of the race pace pecking order. Then that will hold until the next set of major upgrades.

Importantly we would see Ferrari progressively tune the SF25 and see if it's well behaved or has undesirable traits.
For Sure!!

so they are iterating that the number they say on track are what they expected and match's the data

The 2024 prize pot split:

https://www.the-race.com/formula-1/f1-2 ... ly-fourth/

Pretty poor reading from a results point of view for Ferrari when you consider they are overpaid by $63.3m a year- especially in the pre-cost cap era.
Just a fan's point of view

Seems that way, all comes down to if they can use it.

Interest part that they had a similar front geometry as MCL in the wind tunnel but decided against.

Thankfully we have actual cars on track this weekend so the guess work can take a back seat

:? , since we are reaching the limit of regulation, is .3 still too far with upgrade?

Theyre saying that the numbers they saw (like aerodynamic load) in the sim translated to what they saw on track and that there is good correlation between the data they collected in Bahrain and what they saw in the simulator. also said Ferrari werent showing their true pace

Probably, but what about a McLaren upgrade?

What McLaren did last year with their Miami upgrade is kind of rare in Formula 1

It's not like upgrade, before the season started Stella was saying that they didn't have time to get everything ready, so basically in Miami it's their car for 24 but delayed.

Pretty much this. What they did in 2023 was far more impressive imo.

even for 2023 they said they were delayed and would bring update which something they wanted to start with at baku onward.

Yes, the baku upgrade was the last “big” package developed under James Key. Then the new technical structure came around and they scrapped the previous concept almost entirely to get a B-spec ready for Austria which transformed the car from bottom-midfield to frequent podium contender.

I guess this is all a technicality because I am certain that they raced the same exact chassis in Miami as they did in Bahrain, but with an upgrade package, which was obviously planned to be on the car earlier, but it wasn’t.

They did not bring a “b spec” car to Miami.

This is an unnecessary technicality to be making. It was an upgrades package that didn't make it in time for earlier races.
