The thing is that even if RB now moves away from a Verstappen type of car, how slow would the car then become. Still top 10, but for both drivers or will it completely disappear? What will be the gain for RB if the car is less ‘Verstappen’ .

The car is since last year not "a Verstappen type of car" and slower then ever.

Helmut Marko in an interview yesterday at OE24 which they published this morning.
Max is on his way to Milton Keynes at this moment.

.
oe24: Is it true that Lawson will be replaced by Yuki Tsunoda in a crisis meeting at the Red Bull factory in Milton Keynes?
MARKO: The primary purpose of this meeting (today, ed.) is for Max to sit down with the technicians and discuss the next steps. This meeting will take place calmly, addressing Max's wishes and criticisms.

oe24: Several media outlets are reporting online that the decision – Lawson out, Tsunoda in – has already been made.
MARKO: There will be a decision soon, and it will be announced. You'll have to wait until tomorrow (= today, Thursday, ed.).

Well last time when Max sat down with technicians (Monza 2024) they found where the problems were and drew a path to solutions, let's hope they can repeat it this time (with greater results possibly).

I'm still buffled that this kind of meetings don't happen periodically but just when things are almost irreparable.

I think it is the worst time to do it. Let us hope he survives Q1 on his home race.

Embarrassing for Lawson to have talked so much crap about Yuki and bragged about how he was more worthy of the Red Bull seat, only to lose it after literally two race weekends.

I for one hope Yuki does well and shows why he was the right choice the entire time.

He's had a long gestation, if not ready now he never will be. Should have been psychologically preparing for this all last season too, if he can keep calm and methodical that will lay the best foundation to continue.

It's an exciting time for him, Honda too in support, along with his own country fans in addition to others around the world.

I'm hoping for a fairly quite but sound/secure introduction, not big heroic jump into the deep end.

Most of all I'd like to see him finish both Q and race without adding a crash to it. 1st race results are not absolute priority, seat time in race weekend though, invaluable.

Yuki needs a very smooth weekend :D

Lawson will have to do well against Hadja as well. Battle of the Rookies at Racing Bulls.

What a sh*t show. I hope Yuki performs, and if he doesn't then Horner and Marko better be replaced

Perhaps Max should try to make the RB21 more drivable for his teammate
