Tsunoda was nowhere the whole race, at least he did not crash.

He was where he qualified. He needs to qualify better first.

Everybody was nowhere the whole race because overtaking was very difficult. He gained two places.

Could be after that final stint back in China they found some race pace back. If you remember how good Max was on the hards there…

And also what changed Red Bull is now better with driving over the kerbs, which was very good to see in S3.
From the onboards I seemed to see that the front suspension had a bit more travel than earlier this season/last season. May be they made floor a bit less ride height sensitive.
And for the race pace: I wonder wether the cake tin at rear really helped to reduce overheating. The balance of the car seemed quite okay during the race.

Did anyone compared the race pace of VER vs TSU?

The real test for slow-speed corners comes in Bahrain. Will see if we improved from last year in this types of corners. Its quite strange and different as last year looking at some things. Our car was very good in high speed corners last year, but now Mclaren is slightly better there. In Suzuka with the lower downforce than Mclaren, Red Bull had slightly more performance in the last two corners. Max gained there 0.1 to 0.2s to them for the entire race. Which is all about good traction and rotating the car. Time will tell more.

Probably due to the quick turnaround required for Bahrain

So apparently according to Dutch media Red Bull still believe the TD in Spain will slow McLaren down and they are just trying to “survive” until then. I'm still doubtful about this, not very confident that the TD will have a big impact / will hamper McLaren more than others. We will see.

Now Bahrain: rear limited, high rear tyre wear...doesn't seem the perfect combination for RB21, and McLaren will be able to exploit their superior tyre management, plus Ferrari should bring a new floor. I think we will struggle.

Bahrain suited them previously. Max will be much happier being limited by the rear tires than the fronts.

Yes, crashing out at Suzuka will be very damaging for this first race.
Over taking Alonso for 11th position will be pointless as Bearman was already too far ahead.

After 53 lap in RB21, I am sure he will understand the car better for the next race.
Hope he will learn something from Max telemetry as well.

Max is just a monster.

Horner is right, the team did an amazing job to take the car which was more than half a second off on friday and build it to within 2-3 tenths of the mclaren so that Max could make a difference. It's a team effort. Everyone had their role to play. Red Bull's Friday night and pre-qualifying "renovations" are incredible time after time.

This is the second "bad weekend" in a row. Still Max (and team) managed to reduce his deficit in WDC. I am still waiting for the true bad weekend and I am confident Lando will have bad weekends in which he will suffer far more. As pointed out above; when was the last time MV crashed in quali.

As for Lando. I am not sure Max is his biggest worry right now.

I do see Piastri becoming #1 at papaya within a few races...
