Mega from Charles. Fighting the car all around the lap. Was so sure he had ducked his lap from the onboard steering action.

Lewis...pathetic. why couldn't they get Ollie Bearman in this car. He's young, hungry and has a long future ahead of him. Lewis is the opposite of that...Charles as always outperforming the car.

Lewis needs to change driving style. I suspect his throttle manipulation needs higher resolution. Could be age and nothing can be done. Seems to struggle coming out of slow and medium turns.
Charles showing what the upgrades can do. He can podium. Good run by him. The qualy specialists really pushing the limits at the front.
Lewis needs a legendary drive to podium. He needs to copy Max's strategy tomorrow.
For Sure!!

I gotta have some of that optimism man...Lewis will finish 10th honestly. Maybe 8th at a push. Has been.

It pisses me off how we messed up the development of the car - a talent like Charles deserves a car to fight for pole and to fight for wins. Incredible lap.

that's probably the plan, wasn't the rumor that he wanted ambassador role in merc but din't get, and the rumour was that ferrari offered the role to him? that's probably what will happen if he finds he can't keep up with these regulation car or maybe next regulation cars..

Not to come off as gaslighting, but why are people surprised by Hamilton's performances? His gaps to Russell over a lap were pretty large from time-to-time when they were teammates last year.

Charles is arguably a better driver than Russell, so this gap is no surprise.

I think Hamilton will still have his peaks (see the great lap in China) but they are far and few.
Call a spade, a spade.

So he should have gone there immediately. Why drive this car and taint his legacy...he is a diva. Its always the car...or something small. Never seen him take responsibility for his own actions.

Beautiful effort from Leclerc. He looked so happy in his interview. As he should be... P3 didn't seem like it was even possible earlier. They need to be careful tomorrow though, I have a feeling Antonelli will be aggressive. Maybe, just maybe Leclerc can jump Russell at the start.

Hamilton has been struggling all weekend. I was expecting third row so this is a bit of a disappointment, but not a surprise either. It seems like getting his first lap deleted sucked some of his confidence for the final one. Hopefully they can help him unlock the same pace Leclerc found this weekend.

He literally just apologised to the team.

That person is just trolling. Nobody will be more hard on Hamilton today than himself. Haters can say a lot about Hamilton and Leclerc, but they always take responsibility for their poor laps.

The thing that really sucks for Hamilton is that he had an extra free practice session over Charles and he still finishes 6 tenths behind. Not looking good at all at the moment.
Charles has always been a stud at quali. He always saves his best for Q3 too, which is what you want. I am so impressed with the Mercedes though. They are not that much slower than the Mclaren, the clear second best car imo.

Hopefully this qualy shows also what an amazing job Charles did last week to be ahead of the Mercedes. Onto the race now, the performance in S3 in FP3 has me hopeful that they are treating the tyres well. Norris will cut through the field, P3 is the absolute maximum I fear.
