In an ideal world we would have V10s. That's not happening, but the 2026 engines will still be crap.
Personally I care less for the sound and more for the power. Now the sound could also theoretically be improved by setting a higher rev target for the maximum allowed fuel flow, like 13000 as opposed to 10500 for the current V6.
The only thing that has any chance of happening is an increase to the fuel flow, and perhaps a reduction of how long the 2026 engine regulations will run. I think they planned a renewal for 2030, but I highly doubt that will end up happening without some major alterations.
