It looks like Alonso will be able to get through to Q2 without any major problems, maybe he'll get 14th. And Stroll will stay in Q1 between 17th and 19th... Nothing out of the ordinary.
bingo!
"Without any major problems"?

He used all soft tyres in Q1 and still was in the edge.

Getting in Q2 is a miracle. He's fighting with second drivers of the worst teams. That means the car is REALLY bad.

Alonso getting in Q3 doesn't mean they AM is a Q3 car. We have a couple decades experience to know that Alo makes the car perform well above its capabilities.

Yeah this car is one of the slowest on this track, maybe the slowest. Alonso getting P13 is a miracle...

He needs to reflect for sure on how to explain it to Lawrence.... his new role as Chief Trackside Officer focusing on “getting the most performance out of the car at the racetrack”

A big BS. ,they would se immediately from fp1 to fp3 the difference on settings and the amount of downforce lost by different right height. Also if they go to low I would understand, but who the hell go to high if they not except rain ?

Most likely saving face. The car is awful though.

As for my understanding the issue is the floor, which is similar to the 2023 spec but will get heavily modernized with new data for imola or Miami. The rest fo the car is working well, car shows great tyre wear, it's pretty stable with no under or oversteer. There are issue within he team though as constant reliability issues and mistakes in set up keep popping up. The car has pace, the drivers have pace but eh team just can't help both of them at the moment. FP2 showed Alonso to be very fast in race pace and also the lowest tyre wear among all teams . Let's see...
Halo not as bad as we thought

Surely Newey has to make sure they can make some updates work on the AMR25 that makes sure the new windtunnel correlates with CFD data. Otherwise they would go into 2026 blind, and that would make zero sense to me.

Believe in Adrian. If he found correlation issues, he will work hard to fix them.

So Lance drove the whole weekend with the wrong ride-height? Or maybe since Suzuka?! :-k
Because he was 0.6s ~ 0.7s behind Alonso in every session and tied with Drugovich, who hadn't driven an F1 car since December and hadn't driven a race car since January.

Yeah... That's a very poor excuse for the son of the boss.

It's a very lacking explanation.

One thing you can say about 'troll is that he has been very consistent this year (all be it consistently slower than Fred) which allowed him to pick up some good early season points. 'zo has been pushing the envelope with the car, and suffered some issues because of it. I think with a little luck he can get in the points this weekend, or he could get smoked. I actually expect an inspired race from him this weekend. He may even take 9th?
