They already made a decision last winter. They had the option to change the concept of the car or try to make the AM24 easier to drive as they are confident they can extract performance form it.
the saddest part of this team right now isnt their lack of pace, their mistakes or their inability to make it out of Q2. its the never ending excuse making that they do every time lance doesnt perform. or when in an interview, a guy asks a question about alonso, and they have to turn the question around to talk about how lance is good. its effing sad and pathetic, and makes me want to vomit in my mouth everytime it happens. and it happens every single week in every interview and on every twitter post. the guy just needs to GET GOOD if they want people to like him. the never ending coddling that this guy gets makes me sick and i would argue makes people dislike him that much more.
It would be 12 weeks from when Newey Started. 4 weeks to design a New floor, 8 weeks to manufacture?Nikosar wrote: ↑13 Apr 2025, 19:48They already made a decision last winter. The first option is expensive in terms of resources so knowing that it is the last season of this regulation they opted going all in for 26 and chose less expensive solution by pursuing the improving of the AMR24 with a more predictable base and 100% aerodynamic new car (as per Cowell saying).
Last week reports indicated that Mondays with Lawrence at the factory are absolute hell so good luck to everyone in the team tomorrow as the initial plan is not going as they planned in the winter.
Imola looks far for Aston at moment.
I hope it comes sooner with all the new machinery they have to make things fasterdiffuser wrote: ↑14 Apr 2025, 03:35It would be 12 weeks from when Newey Started. 4 weeks to design a New floor, 8 weeks to manufacture?Nikosar wrote: ↑13 Apr 2025, 19:48They already made a decision last winter. There seems to be serious operational issues with the AMR..
This has been the worrying trend in AM since the first upgrade to AMR23. They always think its one small thing that needs to be fixed or circumstances that held them back. So many times they have said updates didn't work because it was a sprint weekend and they had limited time to optimize. Then when they dont work on a regular weekend so it must be track specific. Or we messed up the ride height or tyre choices didnt suit our car. They either dont understand they have major systemic issues or they keep trying to put up an optimistic face by downplaying problems because the fear Stroll.
The next race is next weekend, I doudt we'll see anything for that race. That leaves only Miami before Imola.RedNEO wrote: ↑14 Apr 2025, 06:23I hope it comes sooner with all the new machinery they have to make things fasterdiffuser wrote: ↑14 Apr 2025, 03:35It would be 12 weeks from when Newey Started. 4 weeks to design a New floor, 8 weeks to manufacture?Nikosar wrote: ↑13 Apr 2025, 19:48
