Some other comments from the Italian media:

The talk is about LEC's choice of a softer front suspension setup than HAM due to his driving style, which requires a pointy front end:

"Thus, he has a more elastic torsion and anti-roll bars to have a more focused and precise front end. The shock absorbers are much softer and have more progressive travel due to the greater air-to-oil ratio calibration than HAM`s standard shock absorbers. This way, the shock absorber has a longer travel, which in turn needs new rocker arms that cope with lower forces induced by this increased elasticity. In addition, the third shock absorber must be also more softer set up in order to compesate for this increased in elasticity ... Also they said that the floor now has the same level of downforce with the car`s ride height rised as the level when the car was running lower and thought it was the optimal after their results in CFD & WT. The increased in downforce level was done by altering the Venturi channel and moving the CoP more toward the rear of the car, which stabilize the rear axel in mid and high speed corner but in turn this is inducing a more understeery car, something that LEC can cope better due to this softer front suspension setup and those micro-wheel correction that he is doing in all the corner phases ... "
It is a shame if the only fix for the ride height was a modification to the floor. If they had been able to get it back to the lower ride height you'd imagine making up the 3/4 tenths to Mcl would have been feasible.

I was under the impression the plank issue only really came to the fore after FP2 in Australia, while the floor introduced in Bahrain was planned since before testing. Would make the timelines impossible. Also could a team turn around a floor design and manufacture in 3/4 weeks, seems unlikely.

Seems more likely the floor was an iteration of the launch spec floor which helped the ride height issue but wasn't designed purposefully for it as they weren't aware of the issue during design and fabrication. All guesswork on my part. Happy for someone to give an alternative read on it.

A pretty notable article (signed by Duchessa and Giuliana) from Autoracer today. They are also doing a stream later.

The SF-25 came alive on medium tires. In the middle stint, Leclerc was 1.5 tenths quicker than Piastri. The new floor gave around 1 tenth in performance, equivalent to 5 points of downforce. [Earlier in the article, they estimate that McLaren can run minimum 15 more points of downforce than their rivals.] Leclerc delivered a masterclass over the weekend, and Hamilton showed good consistency on Sunday.

In Maranello, engineers are slowly understanding the problems, having resolved a faulty gearbox component [on both cars]. Serra is pushing for the aero department to keep working on the SF-25—he wants the car upgraded across the board. A major update package is scheduled for later. [No mention of Miami, for those wondering.] In the short term, the team expects to progress in small steps race by race. They previously installed some internal rear brake ducts, but this didn't need to be declared to the FIA. [This was speculated by Autoracer previously.] They will also be revealing a less-loaded rear wing soon.

they had do compromise the front end in order to fix the plank wear issue ?

Sounds rather messy

Leclerc's loyalty to Ferrari is understandable. And to be fair, there isn't anywhere else to go right now. This is the last year of these regulations and no one knows what the pecking order is going to be for the next set of regs. Sure, the rumors of the Mercedes engine being top are out there, but the Ferrari engine was also supposed to be a "rocket" for these. No one really knows.

I think he's in the best position for the future right now unless it's McLaren that get it right in '26. I don't see MCL willingly getting rid of either driver if they have the fastest car. But every other team only has 1 top driver. LEC can choose where he wants to go.

Yep. I think everyone like Hamilton had to make his bet before, get familiar with the team...I do not expect big moves now.
Maybe there is a small chance of Verstappen betting on Aston, but this means RedBull is giving him a bad feeling on next year, so no top seat opening up.

Hamilton knows. At least more than no one. Where did he go?

McLaren is no bet for 26. Engine manufacturers are developing the integration with their own teams. Ferrari is developing the cooling with the Ferrari aero team, Mercedes is developing with the Mercedes aero team.
I can see no other place to be but these two.
All the customer teams, including quasi works team Aston, will take one or two years to optimize for what the engine manufacturer does. Same as in 2014.

I'm not sure about the 26 engine to be honest. The silence and Ferrari wanting V10s is not a good sign. And if the PU is bad then Ferrari will need to build the best chassis and have the best aero. I just don't have much confidence

Maybe it's just thinking branding and thinking what's best(honestly F1 should never have gone the downsizing route) instead of "our engine is crap".

Duchessa *just* shared that he both doesn't have any information on the engine... and also that he expects to get some in the near future.

So we may learn more about this very soon. I wonder if they'll discuss it on their stream later.

That's my feeling as well.

Didn't Ferrari comment themselves beforehand that the Bahrain upgrades were simply a planned, iterative performance upgrade, not some 'fix' for any supposed issues?

And it's just way too short a period to imagine they analyzed the data, identified the problems clearly, revised the already-in-production designs, validated the new design corrections, and then still had them all manufactured and ready-to-go by the initial intended launch date of the original upgrades.

I just can't tell if it's a good or bad silence. I'm just not gonna hope for anything at this point. Let's see what the stream says

Aston is the only option for Max, and it would be the same for Charles. Such limited options in F1, given Macca & Merc are locked, and RB are in a downward spiral. Therefore, Charles won’t be going anywhere.

Really, isn't this all content for speculation thread ?

Nothing much in relation to discussion of current team activities.

I wasn't able to watch the AR stream live, but here is a summary from FerrariF1FRA (I skimmed to confirm - will try to do a longer watch later.)
  • The floor matched expectations in terms of aerodynamic load.
  • According to their sources within Ferrari, the engineers believe the SF-25's issues can be resolved through aerodynamic changes, and the issues aren't purely mechanical.
  • The focus of their next package is to make the car less sensitive to ride heights and widen the operating window.
  • The next package is not currently scheduled for Miami. Whenever it is, it will be significantly bigger than the one for Bahrain and directly focus on mitigating the issues found after testing.
  • As expected, a new rear wing will be brought to Jeddah. Whether it will be used or not will be decided later.
