This forum contains threads to discuss teams themselves. Anything not technical about the cars, including restructuring, performances etc belongs here.
Leclerc's other part of the interview was quite positive too:
It's pretty clear in my head where I want to go for tomorrow. So we're going in that direction probably, and I hope it will pay off in qualifying.
I am also worried about the race pace, but I'm sure this is something they've considered. If anything Leclerc is more likely to sacrifice qualifying for the race, just knowing how he is as a driver and person.
Hamilton:
We will work together tonight to see [which setups to use] because through both sessions we were trying different things across both cars to then converge. So, wing settings and all sorts.
I don't know [what the car is capable of]. Just for me, I'm trying to see if I can get in the top 10 at the moment. Normally Saturdays it goes backwards. There is not a lot backwards for me to go from where I am. So, hopefully overnight we can make some improvements to the car. There were a few bits through the session that felt good. Just once we get to the soft tyres, it isn't there. So, we will make some changes overnight and hope that tomorrow we can come back stronger.
Race pace is secondary here. As long as you aren't like 7 tenths slower, you'll be ok. The dirty air through S1 and the first part of S2 will be brutal.
Hamilton experimenting a lot and incomplete sectors and laps. Not sure where he is. I saw a glimpse of a purple sector 2 and he back off.
His engine mode was also very low.
Charles had low engine mode too by the sound of things but was more hooked up than Lewis.
Charles can snatch pole from what I see though. Unless the Mclaren and Redbull are hiding pace. Redbull is stronger here than any other race.
I also notice a lot of understeer and the car switched to oversteer in some of the high speed.
Second row start is best then can hope for tomorrow in my opinion.
I don’t know what kind of machine McLaren have built but no weaknesses thus far on multiple tracks in various conditions. PIA and NOR are two very lucky drivers to have such a car at their disposal! Dream like for any racing driver.

Although McLaren drivers are lucky, it’s a perfect vision of Zak Brown who did placed the resources & hired the best engineers, gave up few years. Now he’s able to reap benefits out of it with 2 WCC’s & 1 WDC at their collection. Kudos to him.
On the other hand, there’s no change at Ferrari. They begin the regs as a chasing pack & loose the ground heavily. They need a strong leadership who envision like Zak.
Leclerc not looking so good for a podium anymore.
Lewis is at sea. Atrocious!!
I wont lie, if he was another less decorated driver Ferrari would be looking to replace him.
Looks like he is overwhelmed, and not able to just get the job done.
Maybe he should retire in 2027.
He goes better at the traditional tracks, but you need to be good everywhere to even consider another championship, be it constructors or drivers.
The rear end is catching out Lewis in the twisty parts of the circuit. He corrects the oversteer too late and the car twitches. He then loses confidence and simply makes too many hesitations and corrections. When those add up you get 4 tenths or so gap to Charles.
