Sector 2 was a monster of a sector and we aren't too far off in the other sectors given the fact that Max had the opportunity to complete 2 flying laps. This bodes well for the race fingers crossed

This car is just so much better than last year. George is extracting the most from it pretty consistently as well.

I'm very impressed by Kimi.
Without that big mistake in turn 1 in his second flying lap he would have been ahead of George. Absolutely impressive.

Awful, awful deg in that one. This car really can't handle high speed corners well at all.

P5/P6 is the best they could have hoped for probably.

Miami is going to be awful I fear.

I disagree. I think they botched the setup due to the lack of long runs. The tyre was splitting open on the shoulder that is insane levels of deg.

Yep, bad deg. That’s five races whereby they’ve never looked like winning. It’s the best car they’ve produced in this regulation, but it could be one of those funny years, whereby they actually win less races than last year.

I believe Russell doesn't have good tyre management skills as people try to hype up to be, Kimi was catching 6/7 tenths a during the last few laps. It's unfortunate, this could be bad setup but ultimately it's up to the driver to manage it well and well.... yeah, I've just seen that with Leclerc.

Exactly. It's decidedly the that car that will fight for a podium, but will likely never win it.

Losing 3-4 tenths in sector 1, knowing you're matching those in front on the rest of the lap must be so frustrating.

Russell has proven time and again his tyre management is just as good as anyone else. That is a myth that was pushed last year because of who he was in the team with.

Beyond that, he was quite obviously bringing it home after the front left opened up as he had more than enough gap to not pressure himself to the chequered flag.

Yeah, I know George is very down right now because I know he's upset with his race pace. He just seen Verstappen fighting with the Mclaren and the Ferrari of Leclerc going for much longer, seeing the Ferrari passed him with no problem, his Teammate was going quicker than him behind, and you have to bring up the contract rumors involving Verstappen.

It sucks man.

I don’t agree with this. If that was true, then why Leclerc couldn’t get to him in Bahrain? Where there was high deg? It seems to me that Leclerc has poor tyre management as well.
