Wow just when your McLaren bias (I appreciate you’re a team fan) couldn’t sink any lower or ridiculous. A huge stretch to say Oscar is the best on the grid…….
Why is it so hard to admit that someone did a better job than Max for once and is the best on the grid on these first 5 races? He won in every single situation, made the least mistakes, was more stable, beat Max in all of the battles so far in a car that is miniscule better than Red Bull and is first fair and square. Credit should be given where credit is due.

He got a better start in a faster car that also starts faster. He made no mistakes but that's about it.

I call it excuses. In a start it's all about the driver. Piastri was in the dirty side while Max was on the clean side yet Piastri had a faster reaction and while he should have had more tyre spin he performed a better start.

Statistically, Mercedes was the fastest in 2021, it's a fact. Not by much, but they were.
"Based on these figures, the overall conclusion is that Mercedes were a minuscule 0.058% quicker than Red Bull on average over the course of the season. Over a typical 90-second lap, that’s an advantage of just five-hundredths of a second."
Here's something for the stats. According to Newey Red Bull was the fastest car. So I will take Newey's words over some useless stats. And trust me even if Mercedes was minuscule faster that doesn't explain why Max screwed up a 45 point lead in just 3 races.
Newey said he built the fastest car even if the stats show the contrary and Perez was soundly beaten by Bottas? Maybe he likes giving himself a lot of credits.

Mercedes was the fastest car by a big margin at the end of the season, but none of that would have mattered if Hamilton did not sent Max to the hospital in Silverstone and if the Pirelli tire did not explode in Baku in a straight line. Abu Dhabi crowned the rightful champion.

The RB is weak at 0-200 this year.

Guys, its futile. All positive outcomes are Max's godliness. All negative outcomes are the car's fault. Or the other driver's fault. Or the FIA. Or planetary alignments. Never Max's

Each has their qualities. Lando would have had stronger race pace. In the last stint, Oscar seemed a little weak near the end. He voice also sounded like he was nervous about Max closing in. Lando tends to have a deeper reserve of pace and is more sure of himself when leading in clean air. Piastri is stronger in the high stakes moments and when fighting.
Max seemed pissed on the podium. He can't play mind games with Oscar like he does Lando. Oscar has a win in the mental game and it will help him against Max as the season gets nastier, because it will!
Oscar got held up at the end, then started opening a gap again.

He was comfortable.

Edit: Comfortable as in the gap was stable, not that he wasn't working for it

And that is where the discussion ends because when you use terms like sending Max to the hospital when we had a situation where the Halo saved Lewis's life from Max's tyre I cannot take you seriously. Nor I can take seriously excuses of 0-200.

Yeah, a bit off topic since it's Mclaren topic, but I found it surprising and disappointing to see falsehoods being written about the fourth time world champion and current best driver on the grid rather than seing people celebrating their own victory. Good night.

It may be but Max ballsed up his start and lost the win, that wasn't the cars fault but I'll take it.
