Mclaren Mercedes MP4-25

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

With all due respect, go back and do it yourself Gooney. The mods don't have the time to clean up that stuff especially when you can perfectly do it yourself.

There is an 'edit' button on the top right hand corner of each post. Have fun and good luck.

No, I still don't get it, if you didn't give anything away, don't you think it's wise to keep the posts as evidence?

If siskue2005 is hosting the pics, you can just send him a PM and ask him to delete the photos. Then they'll disappear from everyone's posts here. I doubt anyone spent the effort to copy and rehost them elsewhere.

Why not just delete the entire thread? Given the outcome, I think it would be just to do so ..

honestly do u think any driver wants a car to over or under steer whilst trying to negotiate a corner at 180mph
Hmmmmm, no, but there are definitely differences in driving style as to how a driver feels he can get through a corner fastest, especially in slow and medium corners. Some drivers have a very conservative in-slow out-fast approach, and others have an approach where they brake somewhat later, want more aggressive turn in and then balance the car through the corner. Quite often it depends on a circuit and the nature of some corners.

Trust engineers to think that drivers are interchangeable cogs and that they can give a driver what they think is neutral set up and be done with it. Trust me, if McLaren do that with Lewis and Jenson next season then they will fail.

I have reported the problem to the mods. Hopefully someone in the team (Ciro or Steven) should react soon.

In defence of goony, it should be remembered many of us pumped him for inofromation, and he was only willing to give us vague, cryptic and probably misleading info on the car. The whole Button thing though is another matter.

Anyway, please remember this bloke went out of his way to feed our curiosity and ultimately lost his livelihood.

It seems a little harsh to criticise.

Sorry to be so confrontational in a forum post, but I felt it was neccassary. I myself asked him about the medical scheme they have there and feel a bit guilty!
