The MP4/24 featured a hybrid rear wing between the Singapore ‘s and Suzuka ‘s versions . It had a main plane similar to the Singapore’s version and fasteners which resembled to the Suzuka’s ones .

check out the turning vanes next to the inside of the wheel area, directing air to fill the vacuum immediately behind the wheel on the ground. I don't think I have ever seen that before in F1. Surely the elimination of this vacuum is worth a few mph at top speed.

turning vanes on the tyre shelf have been around for a long time...they have several purposes, of which one is to help control the real wheel wake. and of course you wont have an actual vacuum in that region, just low total/static pressure!
