spec car racing

What do you all think of the A1 GP Series? The cars look and sound almost as racy as an F1 car, but they're a fraction of the cost to run. And being a spec chassis and engine, the racing should be quite close. Kind of like a GP version of Champ Car.

As much as I love F1 for being F1, and always wonder who would beat who in equal machinery, being a motorsport fan in general I do like to see drivers go up against each other on equal terma.
