That's John Surtees, Phil Hill, Graham Hill, Dan Gurney and Jo Bonnier above.

Below you have Jim Cark, Richie Ginther and Bruce McLaren.

Murray: "And there are flames coming from the back of Prost's car as he enters the swimming pool."
James: "Well, that should put them out then."

According to the rules Xpensive should now post a question. If he doesn't within 24 h I suggest someone else should do it so that we can carry on with the quiz.

Ok, C-C was halfway there. Nanni had an Alfa Romeo 3.0 90 degree V8, same configuration as the Cosworth btw, a heated up version of the Tipo 33 sportscar engine, which in turn was the same block as in the Alfa Romeo Montreal streetcar.

Ronnie Peterson, who drove both cars during the 1971 season, said it wasn't much difference between the two.

Quiz:

On the subject of both USF1 and Michael Schumacher, an American driver made his F1 debut at the ripe age of 38, who?

Juan Manuel Fangio was born 1911 and debuted 1949 when he won the San Remo GP.

Xcuse me for being less specific than needed. American, as in holding a US-passport.

No. Besides, there was no F1 in 1949. Next?

Wikipedia wrote:George Follmer (born January 27, 1934) is a retired American race car driver, and one of the most successful road racers of the 1970s. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona.
Follmer raced in the USAC Championship Car series in the 1967-1971 and 1974 seasons, with 25 career starts, including the 1969-1971 Indianapolis 500 races. He finished in the top ten 11 times, with his one victory in 1969 at Phoenix International Raceway.
In 1973, Follmer moved to Formula One. He participated in 13 World Championship Grands Prix, debuting on March 3, 1973.
He was actually 39 when he raced F1 according to the sources I found. But I thought that was still good enough.

I stand corrected (savour this one), Follmer had obviously passed 39 at his debut in South Africa on March 3.

It's all yours WB.

Name a wet F1 race which was won by 45secs with a fastest lap which was 2.2secs faster than anyone's else.

Hint: neither the car nor the driver made champion in that year

Jacky Ickx won at Nurburgring in a Brabham 1969, almost a minute ahead of Jackie Stewart, why it must have been raining pretty badly.

But it sounds more like Ayrton Senna in McLaren at Donington in 1993?
