I still don't understand how you figure that Nelson could finish a GP and put his civilian clothes on while others still raced around for enough time for Nelson to come back to the pit wall...

I agree on the Dutch GP. Patrese did 70 of 72 laps and broke down with a turbo failure while Piquet retired on lap 41 by accident. So the ride was probably the wrecker that brought the car back or Patrese may have made it back into the pit lane. The leg gesture may rely to the 1982 Canadian race where Piquet won despite of a 100° hot oil cooler burning his leg in the car.

After Prost trying a desperate move on Piquet's lead at Tarzan, Piquet was out of the race. Prost's Renault damaged his front wing, resulting on him crashing later that lap. That way, Piquet's lead in the championship remained untouched and, in the final stages of the race, when Patrese broke his turbo and was very slow, trying to finish the race, Piquet went to the pit wall and started mocking on him, in the way the photo shows.

It was really Giblet's turn before I posted the Monza video question. But he came back and posted in another thread and disregarded the Quiz thread. So being the second I assumed that he wasn't interested any more. You cannot expect that people wait for you forever. If it is your turn to put a question, you visit the site, you post in another threat, you log out and stay away for some hours you loose the chance. If we handle it another way we interrupt the game again. At least this is how I see it. How do you see this, Giblet?

Nelso usually won by hell of a margin that year, when he finished, why he had plenty of time to run back to his missus.
Besides, he rarely broke a sweat in the process.

Lets put a 24h (or any other period WB suggests) limit for the thread to get going again by the last "asker".
