Check out the image below from their Introduction video on their website... shows pretty clearly what looks like two coil springs at the front, but I confess to not fully groking the various components.

Those symbols represent either springs or dampers. The tyres have some form of damping and springiness.
Looking closely at the bell-crank bearings, you can see those dark blue rings around them, it could be a symbol for a torsional spring. So i guess the the squiggly lines could represent damping then. Though i wouldn't rule out the spring idea.

They said it will be different to any other car, not a clone. But now... what a disappointment. No coil springs in the front, no live axle at the back with those traditional leaf springs and everything.
They may as well win a race at that rate.

Oh but there will be coilsprings in the front, just look at the 3D-image in that "Engineering" piece upstreams.

A transverse gearbox is different, as is Aluminium uprights and wishbones. I hope they have the guts to go against
the grain and machine their own wheel-nuts for less than a grand a piece as well, a healthy sign of self-thinking if so.

As for the flyaway crew turning right when boarding the 747 and staying at Holiday Inn, I'm not so sure,
but that would indeed be a revolutionary act.

USF1 has not passed their FIA crash tests, they had tested a nose cone, but there is no news on their side impact test, rear impact test and steering wheel test.

I do not see the connection between testing and FIA impact tests. We have heard teams that were testing there cars failing impact tests. A far as I know the teams can test what they want and the test cars from F1 need not comply to FIA regulations.

From what we here from the various visitors to the USF1 factory is that all the parts (almost) that are required for the car is at the factory. So why is it that the team cant test at Barber in the first week of Feb, considering it will not take more than a week to build the first car?

Interior Minister Florencio Randazzo and President Christina Fernandez de Kirchner have given support to the arrangement.
The driver will apparently be sponsored by the Argentine Tourisim Bureau.

Government funding? This is highly un-american, I'm so disappointed.
