Front diffuser?

Post

Is it possible to put a diffuser at the front of a rear engine car?
will it have any problem? e.g. will it make lesser down force for rear wheel?

It's pretty much the only solution for LMP cars.

There's a whole bunch of pictures of front diffusers at http://www.mulsannescorner.com/

I really cant get that pic well, it seems that the radiator intake its not under the floor but at the front. Then it seems that the diffusers are at the sides before the front wheels and in the middle there seems to be a less steep diffuser and I wonder where the exit goes... to the sides???

Or was?

Its been a while since LMP cars have radiators in the sidepods like a formula car. But the front diffusers are still there:

In those pics you can see the front floor version with a splitter and without it. The front of the car has got air intakes that sends the air through the wishbones to the sidepods.
