After a bit of research, I actually found that Ferrari won not three but four non-championship F1 races in 1971. Clay Regazzoni won the Race of Champions at Brands Hatch. Mario Andretti won the South African GP at Kyalami, which didn't count towards the championship in ´71, as well as the strange "Questor GP" in Canada. And Jackie Ickx won the "Jochen Rindt Trophy" at Hockenheim, apart from the Dutch and German GP's.

I stand corrected Roland, Ferrari won six(6) "races" in 1971.

OK:
- Andretti won in SA, which indeed counted in my book.
- Jacky Ickx won in Holland, which counted.
- Ickx also won the "Jochen Rindt gedächtnis" at Hockenheim.
- Clay Regazzoni won Race of Champions.

Nah:
- Jackie Stewart won for Tyrrell in Germany.
- Questor GP was not in Canada.

Me being the judge, two "race" wins still are not properly accounted for, please xplain?

Ah, Ickx won the German GP in 1972, my mistake. And indeed the South African GP counted towards the championship in 71, I got a bit confused there.

About the Questor GP, my source mentioned "Ontario CA", which to me eyes read "Ontario, Canada". But it's actually Ontario Speedway in California. #-o

So that's indeed five wins for Ferrari in '71, three of which were non-championship races. Am I still missing something?

You corrected me before Roland, I forgot about Ickx at Hocken, why I want six(6) "race" wins, you got five down!

So we're looking for a fourth non-championship F1 win for Ferrari in 1971. I have no idea, my source mentions only three... I also checked Wikipedia now, and it also lists only three.

Wait, I just remembered I have another source to check, one minute!

Edit: Nope. This source, which is a book on Ferrari's F1 cars from 1950 to the early 80's, also lists only five wins for Ferrari in 1971: Kyalami, Brands Hatch, Zandvoort, Hockenheim and Ontario. Are you sure there is one more?

OK, I think I finally got it: That weird Questor GP was made up of two heats, and Mario won both of them (beating Stewart's Tyrrell).

There were indeed two "races", but Clay won none of them.

LOL, finally I got all the details right!

So, here's my question:

Which is the individual chassis (not model) with the highest number of Formula 1 Grand Prix wins? How many, and which driver scored all of these wins?

This is going to be a wild guess, not much for the wiki, gotta be 70s, when they had just one or two tubs.

Don't know how many races Niki Lauda won in 1976, 5 or 6, probably in the same chassis?

Renault R26, chassis number 03 (Alonso's), he drove all 18 races of the 2006. season with it, and won 7 times. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renault_R26

In 2009. Button scored only 6 wins, right?

I believe Alonso's R26-03 is second in the all-time list. Button's BGP001-02 would be third unless I am mistaken. But what chassis tops the lists? xpensive is on the right track, sort of.

Yes, but there are more similarities between the chassis and driver I am looking for and Button's Brawn, than between it and Alonso's Renault (hope you can understand my English).
