Williams FW32 Cosworth

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

2 holes lover down are there so that marshals can hoist the car with a crain if needed.

It won't turn without a nose-cone.

Can see some details on the nose-cone in this pic.

Thank you =)

lol keep the nose, change the livery. It looks broken. That's why some people here suggested the first shakedown 'spy' pic was a photoshop job.

Hey guys, my first post here. I'm a brazilian F1 enthusiastic and also a designer plus industrial mechanics technician. Cheers to all

So, let's cut the talk and tell you all about FW32.

Barrichello posted today two pictures of the new FW32, and i see particular details different then the car we saw at the viral video:

First: Two air intake over driver's head (very intersting, confirms that tendency showed at MP4-25):

Red Bull nose design like every one else:

You guys saw anything else?

The FW31 last year had those intake too

It looks almost exactly like the nose on the new Virgin car. The RB nose is more aggressive than most cars on the grid.

Well day 1 of testing has been a pretty low-key launch by the team, they just rolled out with Rubens behind the wheel and got on with it!

Nose definitely looks awkward with the camera-whiskers

The FW31 had them too, but they were a functionality for the radiator for the gearbox to keep it cool.

The car seems to have stickers advertising 'williams hybrid power', are they planning on running KERS?

They wont be running KERS, but they are still marketing their flywheel KERS system for other uses outside of F1...

Hmmm a backend as lumpy as the TF109's was at the start...

Didn't exactly light up the timing board either...

Scarbs commented on Twitter that the FW32 DDD is huge and it looks it to me too in that shot...
