Now take this for what it is, from an old geezer who started out drawing rotating machinery with ink on mylar when Michael Jackson was a household name.
Nowadays, design-engineering is something completely different, archiving our precious mylar is long gone, I can change the counter-whirl critical speed with my fingertip if I wish and the manufacturing side will know it within a sec.
Not they're gonna like it much though.
But in them days, certain individuals were icons not to be questioned, John Barnard or John Lennon, all the same.
Things are so way different in this brave new digital world, when people come and go, back and forth from limelight, at such a ferocious pace. I used to admire this Austrian designer, Gustaf Brunner, who showed such guts with Minardi and later Toyota.
Where is he now and who cares?
I have difficulties with my ten-year old, when he looks at my Neil Young CD, shaking his head in disbelief.
Btw, this was a very personal one, so please don't hit me too hard, will you?
"I spent most of my money on wine and women...I wasted the rest"
I heard his last wish was for his body to be turned into shopping bags. That way, he can carry on being white, plastic and a danger to children.
I'm not too upset about it- he was just a kiddy fiddler that made music I don't like. I feel sorry for his family, but everybody dies eventually, no reason those of us unconnected to it should get all upset.
yeah they could melt all the plastic in his face, turn it into an xbox360, and let the kids play with him for a change. all jokes aside, i love his music, and he is and will always be a music legend, he's right up there. sorry to bring this topic back to life, i was a bit late....
Best regards. I guess this explains why I'm not at my post!

Nothing in Manhattan. Go to the Apollo Theater in Harlem.
