I'm very curious, what is glowing in the Robert Kubica R30. Are his breaks so hot, or is it something self glowing used for any other purpose?

Any idea?

looks like brake discs to me.....the color also indicative of the bias he is running...

one thing I am curious of, the rule banned the wheel frisbee that they used to run, but are they also banned from using the shield that they used to run outside of the disc IN the wheel? You don't used to see the glow for a while now...

Yes back to the pre wheel cover days! :P
I think the sheild would glow also, seeing as how close it is to the rotor.

I like it; improves the show. Supposed to be nice in the night races.

I like this glow too. If the R30 livery would be more black, in night races we could call this car "Bee Ghost Rider" ;-)

The sheilds were cool in a way, but I am glad they are gone.

The glowing brakes, and the aliasing you see (personal google tangent here) really add to the sense of speed. The painted spokes on the Ferrari BBS shields looked dumb to me.

Certain things should be outlawed on aesthetics alone. I had read in some hardcover F1 book (Modern Encyclopedia of Formula 1 maybe?) that the tall airboxes of old were outlawed on a purely visual basis.

Renault RK,and VP will be the biggest surprise of this season.
From the video I've seen, the car looks very balanced.
I guess the other factors are fuel consumption, (an over-rated factor)
and the Renault Power Plant, (bhp) a very important factor.

What is that waviness to the side of the car, immediately above and in front of the barge board area?

Looks corrugated.

But the 'corrugation' is there in both views of the car? Looks like something real to me, but why would they do it?
