Williams FW32 Cosworth

I realy do not see the similarity, the new inlets are more of a triangular shape than rectangular.

I say the smaller inlets is not because the engine was running cooler than they thought. I think it is just aerodynamics.

Winter testing is the worst time to tell how hot the engine can run. Especially since the first race in Bahrain.

If any thing they are more like Renault ones...

Cross sectional area defines the cooling...the shape is determined by aerodynamics.

Those inlet inserts wont be necessery now, that the new chassis has much reduced and reshaped sidepod inlets.

If that Cossie is really so powerful (running so rich, it should be) and so little drag is created from the cooling, can't the Williams plug in a whole lot of downforce and be quite competitive in the end?

My mistake  But I suppose Williams will be definitely the benchmark for the Cossie teams.

budgetwise ,experiencewise of course they just have to .It will be fascinating to see
how the gap between williams ,Virgin ,lotus and campos is evolving over the season.
All things considered I doubt that the new teams will come under a 2 seconds per lap gap in 2010 ,otherwise Williams has to shoot themselves.

The slot in the rear-wing has moved from the top element to the bottom one.

What sort of gain will that give? Will the air attach to the wing more easily?

The shark-fin looks quite like something from a Batman comic!

If they are using a blowing system then that slot in the main element might be the feed for it.

This potential system (courtesy of tomazy):

It has been a while now since we saw a shark-fin on a Williams. With the way shark-fin technology is developing it must be worth another look.
Williams and proud of it.
