Renault R30

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I think with the other as those that were used in Barcelona. In Barcelona, the upper wing patch was shaped "U" and they are flat

I've just read interview with Kubica. He said, they'll have new diffuser and some minor tweaks like new winglets. I know, that diffuser is quite important and may come with new floor of which Kubica simply didn't want to mention, but still I hardly can imagine that will be all of those 40% mentioned several times if they are serious.

What's more, he said, new wing didn't work well in Barcelona and that he wish it will play well with new parts.

He also said, that they were very quick in Jerez - somewhere in between top 4, but they were left behind in Barcelona as they didn't bring many new parts there and new front wing was disappointing.

It looks like they will probably have troubles with getting into Q3 and just play in midfield.

EDIT: My 50th post :)

On http://www.f1.pl, he was cited exactly like that: 'the new wing didn't give expected results' and it was exclusive interview. The one on autosport.com is different.

Yeah, they've signed two year contract for sponsorship as well as for HP's simulation and video conference technologies.

But I wish logo was just photoshopped and would be eventually placed elsewhere, as I really liked wasp marks.

Smiling face?

Yeah, smiling wasp ;)

I think it might be there to distinguish new front wing from the old one (it's on the back and without that red line) as it's quite easy to mix it in the rush. BMW Sauber mixed wings in one of the last year's races.
