I think Red Bull ought to receive a penalty for that smoke screen.
It is bloody dangerous to start off with something like that.
It ruined the race for a lot of people.
It wasn't a classic in my view. I think there was plenty going on but the TV director managed to miss some of it. Lots of mid-field stuff can be great fun but there is a temptation for the TV guys to follow a front group running around nose to tail with no obvious 'racing' going on.Vasco wrote:Not sure if it was because of the track or the new regulations, but this was quite a boring race IMO.
I guess a bigger difference in tyre performance will make things more interesting.
Sets an interesting precedent. Do you think others might "accidentally" do the same thing in other races in order to try to get a jump at the start?Fil wrote:Not to mention Webber starting a metre ahead of his grid slot! He was incredibly lucky that wasn't even investigated!
Prost must've dozed off!
Sad but true...nacho wrote:Button is just as good as Heikki in the other McLaren.
Hahahah...classic line right there....nacho wrote:Button is just as good as Heikki in the other McLaren.
They were miles behind where Red Bull and then Ferrari were on speed.Poleman wrote:Seems that you forget that other teams was top form at testing as well as McLaren's momentum from last year too.McLaren-Ferrari-Mercedes...All of them showed speed and solid race pace.
Mildly amusing, but no. I'm afraid not. The Red Bull is certainly where the speed is, that much is certain, but I was pretty clear on where its shortcomings were, certainly at this stage of the season. They weren't going to nail down the reliability issues they had in testing within a few weeks. You try to convince us that the RB6 is the absolute super car, like the Delorean from "Back in the future" and others are like running with chariots...

They chanced their arm with their new parts from Barcelona and it was probably worth a gamble for a race victory. You try to convince us that the RB6 is the absolute super car, like the Delorean from "Back in the future" and others are like running with chariots...
