not the best ive seen but great to have F1 back and i watched on HD, simply awesome!!
F1 on HD is the way to go!
Sebastian Vettel did not suffer an exhaust problem according to the Red Bull team, but rather an engine problem.
I guess you weren't using the live timing info from formula1.com then. In the dozen laps after the pitstop Hamilton was consistently averaging 1second / lap faster than Nico. He was hustling Nico before the stop too. He was being held up.segedunum wrote:He was't matching the Ferraris or the Red Bulls on pace at all through the race, the two up front were still the thick-end of a second ahead early on and as the condition of the tyres started to vary more widely between cars only then did you start seeing all sorts of teams setting fastest times. Kubica had one at one stage, but they won't be feeling warm fuzzies about that at Enstone. Hamilton wasn't exactly getting held up by Rosberg either as he claims.Just_a_fan wrote:So far behind that Hamilton was on the pace all the way through the race once he got by Rosberg at the tyre change.
Alonso was shaping up very nicely to have a go at Vettel even before the RB decided it couldn't take the strain and wanted to go home early for a lie downsegedunum wrote: He wasn't going to beat Vettel without a mishap, and a mishap duly happened.
Don't overestimate yourself, Ciro. This race was far more boring than anything you've written. Though I admit to making it through the race. But thank god for Tivo and fast-forward.Ciro Pabón wrote:"Save your wheels isn't racing". Yeah, sure.
Heaven protect all us. Good idea: put a 1.000 gallon tank on the cars and paper bond tyres on the wheels.
Why didn't we think of it before spending a gazillion euros on the cars? And, over all, you must have thought that before unanimity were required to change regulations.
People, if there is something that has to be spiced up are the recurrent complains about F1 spectacle. If you're going to whine, please, don't be as boring as... well, you know as what: as my posts.
The only way you can enjoy a race is in the cockpit. All the rest is race porn.
Which race were you watching? Hamilton and Rosberg pitted two laps apart. For the following 12 or so laps, Hamilton put about 12 seconds on Rosberg. They were both on new tyres so where do you get the idea that "serious tyre differences" played any part?segedunum wrote:Clutch away if you like. They were set during a period of the race where everyone set fastest times when we got some serious tyre differences, and even Kubica ended up having a fastest lap at some point. The fact is that they were a country mile off in qualifying with all things being equal, but hiding behind supposed race pace always sounds good when you're on the back foot.myurr wrote: Given the performance differential once Hamilton got past him, where he was around 1 second a lap quicker than Rosberg, then it wouldn't be unfair to expect him to have been on a similar pace to the leaders during the first stint.
Oh dear. The only saving grace is that Ferrari are changing their engines because of fuel efficiency.Mysticf1 wrote:http://www.thef1times.com/news/display/00530

Christ. I don't know what Renault are supplying Red Bull with, but they're going to have to be read the riot act. Since RB is their best chance of actually winning I don't know what they're doing.roost89 wrote:John Noble says that it's a fauly spark plug.
