Cant see the point of the pictures, owning a gas guzzler does not show style, even at a motor mouth level. In fact the clothing worn detracts from any artistic style the cars had in the first place and relegates them to rap machinery with bling. Total waste of time money and space.
America is not my home my holiday or even my interest, dress sense and style has yet to reach that far, although the 'dream' illusion is at least decaying a bit now.

And i can continue with pictures from the US #-o

But my point is, those caps are just awesome and here in Holland lots of people wear them and i think it is not going thake to long before MORE and MORE people going to wear one 1 holland because they are just awesome.

And that has nothing to do with Rapping, people just like that kind of caps and because rappers wear it doesn't mean everybody who wears one is a rapper.

(I can tell i got one myself  )

P.S Same story is from Monster Energy. That already were big in the US like 2 years ago and now it is slowly conquering Europe (Look at Mercedes GP).

And i would love it if New Era or some other brand would do the same with those caps.

And i LOVE Cheese

Seems you have got a problem with dress sense then and America has never conquered anything ever, so that is a non starter.
If they were that good, they would have a winning F1 team.
I am afraid that 'big in the States' means absolutely nothing to me.
Good luck to them I say, I do not suffer the same delusions.
Sorry Ciro but this is important, it is about head dress for ch---ts sake!

Well i am saying that Monster Energy has conquered something (Reading is not easy i know).

And saying that a country would only be good if they have a winning formula 1 team just means that like 9/10 of the WHOLE world is crap. And i personally think that is a bit stupid to say.

But ok everybody got the right to have his own opinion (at least here in holland).

And mine is that i think the caps are cool and that i hope they will become populair in formula 1.

Hahaha
You came out of that intact I think.
Of course I dont think that most of the world is crap, just living under a fabricated illusion. I have noticed and never worked out a reason for, why the Dutch relate to the Americans so much, interesting.
I just find the whole 'baseball' 'rapper' style completely childish and boring and fit it into the modern dumbing down process that those in the so called civilised world labour under. Shapeless women and bill board geysers, where is the individuality of the 60s. Gone the way of local entertainment and community to feed the greedy 'dream'.
The revolution is happening under your nose and it is centered on alternate energy and green issues, soon fashion and art will be borne that will send all this macho crap back to its dustbin in history.
Oh and Edam aint that bad.

lmfao, autogyro keeps calling 'dress sence' for --- sake, i do not know what that has to do with it 5 out of 10 people wearing those flatcaps, stating that that would lack dress sence is so much rubbish, if 5 out of 10 is wearing them it rather says something about your lack of it then of theirs

Anything I see Kanye West do, I immediately do the opposite. Other than liking Daft Punk, we have no common ground.

I have no problem with dress styles. I'm 37, but dress a little more current than most of the levi's/golf shirt shirt crowd. I wear what I think is good, and keep my mind open.

New Era hats look OK to me, but I won't wear one, since everyone else is. Bandwagon styles are for the weak. "That looks cool on him, I want it" doesn't work. When I shop, I buy what I think looks cool, and never walk into a gap. Everyone in Khakis!! No thanks.

Wear what you like, if you don't like someone else's style, fine, don't wear it. Style is a concoction of all kinds of things from loin clothes until now, and we are fortunate today that we can pretty much wear what we want, as silly as it can be, and for the most part just get labelled as a little eccentric, or maybe a little kooky. But then some kooky girl will dig it, and you're set.

I don't think I'll ever be yelling "Get off my lawn" as my old Sims deck hangs on my wall. Society doesn't require people to 'sell out' like it did in the 80's as old hippies shaved their heads, and 'integrated' into yuppiedom.

Vettel looks cool to me with his shaggy hair, not giving a flying f, and sporting his hat, but I don't plan on emulating.

Look at Jesse James, wearing a ball cap with the brim bent up like a duck bill at the end. he can, does, and doesn't give a f, and it makew him 10x cooler than I.

Re: New Era Caps?

great post Giblet.

The reason for those caps is simple, those New Era style caps give an more tough look, thats why it fits red bull for exapmle, monster, skaters etc.
If they were that good, they would have a winning F1 team
Ryan Checkler is one of the best skateboarders in the world and Ken Block is famous by his rally driving and his DC Shoes brand, so putting them in an F1 car is dumb...

So the guy is good at rally driving so we have to wear DC Shoes is that it?
This is 'cool' is it?
"A more tough look"?
Perleeease, it is the women today that are 'tough' not the geysers.

So this 'tough' image and those who promote it somehow directly prevents anyone else from voicing a different opinion is this what you are saying?
Do they burn books as well?
I am always willing to learn but still cannot see any fashion awareness or style in using ones body as a bill board to sell someone elses products without being paid for it? Paying extra unless the product is of high quality is just daft.

Perhaps it's the availability of high-quality reefer?

Please ignore this post if it's going to lead to more curmudgeon-y comments.

Best post ever

I almost agree with my good chap autogyro.

Caps are fairly lame- the use of them for generic branding is becoming too much. An old school top hat would give better ad space..... 8)

It is not so long ago that a dude without a curved peak was in trouble with the "cool-police"

So, now it is flat....and big wow..

Nothing like a waisted topper and sunglasses worn with a full length trench coat, now that realy is 'tough'.
I am trying to work out how to get 'rebok' on the side of an Eaton boater.
Baseball caps were copied from 19th century 'cricket caps' and they are as 'original' as everything else that comes from the greed culture.

Unlike Autogyro, I can not pull off dapper, and if you can be dapper, then you might have more style in your little finger than I can ever have.
