Well... Red Bull seems to be everywhere in motorsport these days.
And it must be paying off somehow, why else would they do so?

Škoda is just another victim of Russian terror and before the WWII they were considered as one of the best cars on the market. So, that logo has more history behind it than VW for example since it has been there from 1926.

Škoda has been making automobiles for a long time. Telling its history is like telling the story of the world’s motoring. Few companies (only 4 in the world) may boast of 100 years of know-how and experience in car design and manufacture.
It all began in 1895...
Daimler, Peugeot, Škoda, Renault

Yeah, everyone goes on about VW's excellent reliability...well VW bought Skoda to improve their own reliability!

lol spencifer I wouldn't think so.
You see at the moment when VW bought Skoda, the cars were simply crappy. There was nothing modern on them, looked like 20 years old and drove like that too (I know, experience).
Now I think they produce nice cars, a little cheaper than VW. However, there is not much status of driving a skoda, which is why most people rather spend a little more on a VW than buying a skoda.

Well, during turbo era under all those cold war barriers Renault had to import some special material for their turbo engines from Czechoslovakia. Believe it or not, but it couldn't be found and it wasn't manufactured anywhere else!

Tomba, I know that the cars were crappy when VW bought them (why else would they need to be bought).

But VW did (and have admitted via a statement in an A-Level DT book i used last year) that they learnt a lot about reliability from the people at Skoda.
