I would rather expect development going into direction of something like upgraded first iteration of RB5's diffuser, as it was quite efficient - especially compared to other single-deckers.
Asymmetrical v nose. The ridge on the left is taller, 43 seconds into the first video. So i am guessing the nose area can be changed then, or is it research for next year?

RB: Well, this is a development for us and we following our own path on that technology. We had an elaboration in Shanghai, we had a further elaboration in Barcelona and we have (another) one here. It is just an ongoing process for us that just stopped in Monaco because it wasn’t of any benefit on that circuit. My guess is that what we will run here will not give us a huge leap forward - it’s just the accumulation of changes that need to be made. There are only a few things in Formula One that really allow you to make a massive step forward. What we will run here will help, but no doubt we have to keep working hard on lots of other things as well.

The Mercs were constantly changing the rear wings during free practise today. They seem to have a problem to properly set up their auto F-duct. Rosberg was virtually running identical times on prime and option tyres.
It appears that Merc can only just keep ahead of the Renault of Kubica and the game is indeed lost for 2010.

I believe the season ended early for Mercedes, they might as well concentrate their resources for Next year car, and ask somebody to spy on the Redbull Car XD. to based on their design for next year,
