Modelling a Ferrari F310B

Well I got my hands on the new 2011 version of Autodesk Inventor so I thought I'd have a little fun with it; the first thing that came to mind was staring at me from my shelf, the Ferrari F310B. I loved that car.

So, here's a few pictures of what I've done so far:

And as of today here's how the full assembly looks:

I'll keep you posted as I progress. The engine cover and monocoque need a lot of work and I've barely even started the suspension. In total it's 2 days of CAD work but that includes a lot of drinking and parties too.

I'm modelling from a 1:43 Minichamps model and using Digital Callipers for sizes and old school trip & paper for angles.

Cool stuff, thanks for sharing. How many hours of work thus far to get to the above level of completion?

I own the actual rear section of the sidepod from this car signed by Schuey, Brawn and Sheckter! :wink:
