Without prejudice and upsetting you gilgen, if you cant read the topic its about the canadian GP i have posted a question about the canadian GP clashing with another programme i have not brough up just football please get your facts right next time i can see your newish poster

Regards
I note that you are also a newish poster, but this is not relevant. A GP lasts 2 hours, and if you like football, the match can be recorder.
Slight correction. "lasts a MAXIMUM of 2 hours"

That's what I thought too. Should the bulls be able to run almost a flat wing with 0 aoa on monza/canada thanks to it's fine body and tight ass? 8)

Then there is the post race interviews, then a spot of helping out around the home chores to keep the family happy....

It's right up there with Spa and Monza. Usually gives a good race and the "wall of champions" can give an interesting twist.

Any bets on who will end up in the wall first seeing as the cars have a lot less downforce than they did during F1s last visit to Canada?
Due to use of DD and improved aero, albeit within a smaller surface area, I think that the downforce is in fact greater than before. Now, I've done as ordered!

I agree with Breezy here...

Should be a Mclaren 1-2 in the race. Not sure about qualifying but in the race the straight-line speed will matter so much more.

I dont think it will be a walk in the park for Mclaren though, I strongly believe RedBull will be there waiting for the slightest slip-up from Mclaren/Lewis/Button. Its arguable that at Monza, and Spa last year RedBull struggled relative the rest of season form, so Canada should be interesting.

Thing is, Red Bull could simply show up with a rear wing that is essencially a single blade style wing, cut as much as they can in drag and downforce and still have more than the rest in the twisty stuff to be fast.

Its gonna be one of those tight races where one car is quick in one area, and another car is quick in another.

Even Lotus are looking at a points finish.

I think Ferrari will be Mclaren's closest competitor.
Turkey gave us the impression the car was way behind, but i think that was a one off problem.
The should be stronger in canada on the straights as well. The duct is not perfect for the high speed high g turns, but canada lacks those.
For Sure!!

I disagree. Almost all the turns are very slow speed where mechanical grip is key. There isn't really any 'twisty' sections where the Red Bull can use their superior downforce so I think we'll see all the teams running very little wing and the I don't think Red bull will have enough power/straight line speed to make up difference . Brakes are also an issue in Canada - a number of straights have very heavy braking zones at the end of them and we've already seen the Red bull have issues in this department.

I cant see any connection to the MP4/25 in either of those posts. Sorry but there are more appropriate threads for RedBull chat.

Boy, oh boy! The brakes will have a tough time! I wonder how the Red Bull's will cope? They need more straight line speed, but at the same time the need the drag to ease the brakes!;)
The speed of Ayrton Senna.
The mind of Alain Prost.
The dedication of Michael Schumacher.
The determination of Alex Zanardi.

Brakes might have quite an easy time, as electrical storm forecastr for Sat, and rain for Sunday.

That will add some spice to the competition! "Wall of the Champions" will be a busy place...

Apologies. I should've gone on to say that the MP4/25 is possibly better suited because of it's straight line speed advantage, it's ability under braking and the fact that it rides the curbs well. I expect a strong showing in canada.

Is anyone having a thought that perhaps F-duct would not be as significant on these low downforce tracks as it has less drag to take away?
