lol, ok, so glad this thread could turn everyone into an expert on the Funky Cold Medina. I was talking about the squeely pitch-bendy keyboard sound on the one I posted, but it's all good, I'm not worried about it anymore. Plus I don't want anyone to get this song stuck in their head and come after me until it goes away.

Changing the subject a tad, did the Pet Shop Boys predict Brawn in 2009?

An 80's song has been stuck in my head for months now but I don't even remember the lyrics, just everything else. :? So effectively I don't have any leads to search for the song!

It has come up on the radio when I'm driving and for some reason I don't even bother to write some lyrics down on my phone or memorize a few lines. :wtf:

I apologize for the useless post, but I had to vent this somewhere relevant!

Along the lines of pop. The want-to-be-romantic ballads with [almost] monotone piano beats in the background.

I'm constantly thinking of this song and it's driving me craazzzy.

Mega edit!: I just found the song! That proves that taking action provides the solutions. I googled for "I promise you 80's song" and it took me right to it! Coincidentally the title is "The promise".

I love this song!

You were lucky!

I've heard only first 5 seconds of piano at the beginning in some "recognize song quiz", not a single word, and it took me several years before I've stumbled upon it!

Amazing song indeed. Lyrics are much more meaningful than what songs with such rhythm usually have. It would sound great with piano only and much slower. In this fashion:

Does anyone know the song that was used on ITV4 Isle of Man TT? It sounded like it could be Iron Maiden or Ozzy Osbourne/Black Sabbath. The line "King of the mountain" was used. Sorry about the vaguness.
