Renault R30

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Wow that rear wing is just beautiful. Just like their old front wing. You've gotta love Renault's elegance. I think it is by far the best looking car on the grid.

The square nose is ugly... the colors are historic... but this R30 is beautiful when seen frome some angles.

Look how bulky the floor is near the barge boards.

The Renault always had bulky turning vanes. Especially since 2005.

This probably the only team which have these bulky turning vanes. I'm curious for what aerodynamic purposes it is designed.

Yes...

...there are also safety purposes, I think. Renault's turning vanes contain big crash structures (tubes):

Yeah, thanks Blackout, you're fantastic with all of these photos =D>

Interesting solution, well, in Valencia they will have a new floor but it will be related rather to diffuser I guess. Permane is quite confident in Podcast after Canadian GP.

I'm waiting dor their EPD (Exhauts Powered Diffuser). McLaren, Ferrari, Williams and Mercedes will have this solution so Renault cannot be worse.
