At the end they also state that they've been working on the R31 since january. But who has'nt(been working on 2011's car)? The question is how many resources they've used.

probably they would have to sign almost the whole team as it is more than just aero department which excel. the whole process seams to be extremely efficient, aero->design->manufacturing->assembly->track... and if there are external suppliers involved the way they are incorporated is impressive also.

I think it is Kubica who has pulled Renault up by its bootstraps.
He is a fine well rounded F1 driver right up there with the best of them.
Technicaly the R30 IMO is basic but well engineered and run.

Yes they use stereolithography... even for real full scale areo parts, nowadays.
But I'm talking about the sensors. That R30 seems to by wholly coated with a 'skin', a skin that maybe contains all the sensors, instead of a little number of temporary sensors taped hear and there.

I think you will find it is a base colour to help the visibility of the orange flow paint being sprayed on.
Much the same as a black or white background in a photographic studio.

In last podcast from Canada RF1 announced new front wing package and new floor. They said this new floor will be for 2-3 races (only!?). Could it mean that Renaults exhaust driven diffuser won't be ready at Silverstone (where they plan another bigger update)?

Not only visibility, the roughness of the skin has to be proportional to roughness of the actual full size car.
