Renault R30

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I wouldn't call it a gossip. Kubica said it himself ;)

Where? Kubica DIDN'T said any word about EDD. Words about EDD is a comment from f1.pl portal after Autosport article, which at this moment is still 'understandings' of Autosport. So let's wait if it's not a gossip.

"We hope to gain as much as we expect. Of course we also hope, that we will have more downforce. It's hard to say now, as we haven't tested the new solution in action yet"

Those are the words I've been talking about ;]

Yeah, and RF1 announced new floor and front wing package for Valencia. It will give them more downforce too. It's not tested yet :D. Still no word about EDD.
Please read AS IT IS written, not as you want to read ;-) No offence! :D

No offence taken, I understand what you mean. It's just that I think there is a differnece between a new 'package' (Kub loves to use this word in regard to all those upgrades you mentioned), and a new 'solution', which in this case could be (is?) the blown diffuser. The dispute shall be settled tomorrow :P

If you read that article carefully, Kubica really didn't said anything about EDD. I wasn't paying enough attention, as I was watching Slovakia vs. Italy (it was incredible match! End of off topic :P)

He said 'new floor' and 'complex system' - the latter being F-duct. So still no word about EDD apart from journalist. But I'd love to see it on the car tomorrow.

Kubica:

"But it's quite a complex thing to make it work and it's not so easy.
"So there might be some positive effect but also some negative effects, we'll have to see.
"It will be quite tricky to understand it and make it work properly in free practice tomorrow.

Do you think that he would say this about front wing? Come on, don't be so overly accurate. Words have meaning also from context.

Oh, I know it sound pretty much like EDD (however he said all that about 'new floor' :P), but I just don't want to have too big expectations from tomorrow. Maybe we'll see some garage photos soon, as some are being posted usually at the evening before morning practice session.

This article says it all, and talks about exhaust sistem. Do not talk about double floor or front wing. However, Button has spoken to the exhaust system will not function properly without a good floor, but Renault will both have in Valencia.

Nice photo, Blackout. Do you see any new bits on the wings? To me it looks like two previous iterations.
