Renault R30

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

exhaust is hidden in the sidepod, you can't see like in the drawing.

That's just a vectorised real image from the early R30 (photographed in the studio). The current R30 has a complete different black bodywork, hidden exhaust pipes and a nozzle in the floor... that drawing is simplistic and wrong.

Nice.
I am beginning to think that the other teams should start taking more notice of the renault.
That back end looks very tight and only lacks the pull rod suspension and better ride height control.

In fact, its rear end is much much tighter than that... The R30 diffuser has two steep and high air channels (red rectangles) surrounding the gearbox (red triangle). They take much place in the black rear bodywork (yellow)...

It is moved further backward and more flattened, reaching all the way to that aero part that guides the air and fumes.

There is no hole on top of back engine cover. Upper DDD deck winglet is more shaped (on previous version it was flat). So for sure there are some evaluations of EBD to explor more DF from it.

Sadzik, could you post that photo once again?

After FP1 it looks, they're fast but lacking straight line speed in second sector.
