I'm so gutted, the Black Stars played well but lost focus at the end... They dominated the match but couldnt finish it off strongly enough.

But I am encouraged by how the entire continent was behind them, just beautiful, I dont think that would happen in S. America or Europe, but I could be wrong... will any of the Brazilian fans get behind Argentina? Portugal fans for Spain?

Just something I was very happy to see.

Seriously, I don't understand that mentality. Until I realised that every other country in the world hated us, I would ALWAYS support Scotland, Wales, Ireland or Northern Ireland in second place to England. Mr Murray's comments a few years ago about "Anyone but England" put paid to that and added to my satisfaction when he got whooped today in the Tennis, but if I'm honest I would have loved to see a British finalist at Wimbledon.

Why do you scots hate us so much? It's definietely nothing I did, and I thought we were friends?

Uruaguay might as well book their tickets. Suarez cannot play because of his red card,and i think there are a number of key players who will miss the next match, i think fucile the defender will miss it and their captain is injured.
Holland will be in the final against germany or spain and they will lose.

Forty-Two - it's the unofficial rules of us lot. No idea why there is a thing with England though - us Jock hate everyone else, including other Jocks! I could support England if I choose as I would actually be eligible to play for them by a very tenious link.

As for the penalty shoot-outs - I hate as they are false wins because the best team often does not win. They should really have a rematch as when a match goes to this stage, the teams are usually very closely matched. I just think Ghana played a better game.

Argentina could barely manage mexico. No disrespect to mexico cuase they represent the best of concacaf, and always beat my country

I don't think they will stomp Germany. Germany are going to use their under 21 players and humiliate Argentina.
Messi hasn't really done anything and the team doesn't seem to be very strong even against mediocre teams like nigeria.

I'd say germany 4 argentina 2.

Ghana will beat Uruguay on speed and power alone in extra time, like they did the US.

I predict a german brazilian final.

Wow! What a slap! Congratulations to Germany, they played a stright foward efective football.

As JET said, Maradona changed nothing, Argentina tried to play against Germany as if they where Greece or Nigeria. Sometimes you just have to change tactics.

They're obviously not playing great, but the atmosphere in The Netherlands during a football championship is just amazing, much much better than in Belgium (if someday they manage to get back to a WCup)
