On my final run, I had traffic in sector three – I think it might have been Michael – but even with a clear track ahead of me, I definitely would not have improved my grid position.

No point dude, you just dont get it.TheRMVR wrote:Btw, I challenge anyone on this forum to give me one good reason why Webber should have the new front wing.
Vettel couldn't help it that the front wing used on his car got damaged, then there is only one 'new' front wing left. How could you argue that Webber should have that one?
I would agree with people who say that Vettel is the favourite inside the team if it was actually Vettel who destroyed its own front wing. But there was nothing that he could've done. It could've happened to Webber.
So that leaves them with just one 'new' front wing. It's absolutely understandable that it goes on the car that is first in the DC.
I'm going to disagree with you amd here's why; If both drivers had broken their wings in free practice this morning, and there was only one spare on the shelf, then yes, as SV is leading MW in the championship, you could argue that he should get this spare.TheRMVR wrote:Btw, I challenge anyone on this forum to give me one good reason why Webber should have the new front wing.

I thought the two new wings were actually different from eachother. Webber was testing one, as was Vettel. It had not been decided that Webber would run the one he was testing. So saying Vettel got Webbers wing doesnt hold up. And besides that Vettel hasn't 'broken his wing'. It wasn't his fault, that would've changed a lot.Shaddock wrote:I'm going to disagree with you amd here's why; If both drivers had broken their wings in free practice this morning, and there was only one spare on the shelf, then yes, as SV is leading MW in the championship, you could argue that he should get this spare.TheRMVR wrote:Btw, I challenge anyone on this forum to give me one good reason why Webber should have the new front wing.

However, RB came to the race with only 2 'new design' front wings, one for each car, and SV's broke in free practice. I'm not sure that cannibalising Mark's car for spares for Seb’s is the right thing to do given that there are only 12 points separating them at the half way point in the season.

No worries mate. I'm sure I can get you a job with Ferrari if ya want. A lad of your reasoning would fit right in.TheRMVR wrote:Good comment "dude"spinmastermic wrote:No point dude, you just dont get it.TheRMVR wrote:Btw, I challenge anyone on this forum to give me one good reason why Webber should have the new front wing.

sorry for being off topic, but if you watch the red button feed by selecting channel 301 (instead of actually using the red button) you can not only time shift but also record on schedule. When you press the red button, the pvr goes into a hybrid data and video mode which denies recording or time shifting.myurr wrote: Unfortunately you cannot rewind the red button feed so I couldn't double check.

Webber didn't seem to thrilled about being 2nd again either!Shaddock wrote:You have to feel sorry for Webber Seb breaks his new front wing and RB then take his faster front wing and straps it to Sebs car, leaving Webber with the older slower version for the weekend.
But obviously there is no favouritism in the team - honestly.
one counter arguement is that their car is head and shoulders above the others and neither webber nor Vettel would be threatened by any other car in qualifying.CHT wrote:It does make sense for RBR to start favouring one driver over the other because they cant afford to have 2 of their drivers cancelling out each other advantage throughout the entire season and then end up losing the WDC to Lewis Hamilton. And this is especially more so for a team that has NEVER win a championshop before.
As a drink manufacturer, I believe the ultimate price for the team will be to win the WDC rather than the WCC, and for that reason RBR will do whatever it takes to win it.
