I think that comment was in responce to Autogyro banging his drum a few times.
You're right, it is rubbish but it is mindless rubbish and it does kill an hour if there is nothing else on.

But seriously you have to admit, when they do video's of car tests, the cinematography is outstanding, and far and beyond any other car program I have ever seen.
