In the quali both ferraris and Bulls didn't use the Fduct or so the italian tv comentators said,
I'm sure about the ferrari: neither Massa or Alonso were using it, not so sure about RBRs
Webber in Monaco and Turkey only got faster because Vettel's car was damaged in both cases. This may have been the case in Spain as well but it is speculative. And loosing a qualifying in Hungary by 0.4 seconds in the same car is a hefty margin.ringo wrote:Well, when he got 4 pole positions.
Do you think you are better? I don't think anybody who posts on this board is anywhere near the level these two drivers are. Consequently such comments appear very immature and inappropriate.Tazio wrote:Vettel and Webber are two above average drivers in a very fast car! Both subject to catastrophic brain fade. You're so predictable WB. At the smallest mention of Vettel you spring out of your seat to defend him, even when the "accusations" are correct. And your question of "Do you think you are better?" is immature and inappropriate, not his.WhiteBlue wrote:Do you think you are better? While one move on the straight may be allowed lunging right towards the guy starting in second place is not exactly a smart move nor is it appropriate. It's not smart because as we saw in Germany both Massa and Alonso overtook him.WhiteBlue wrote:Ray seems to forget that they are allowed one move on the straight. Why is it any different on the start finish straight? And unless I'm very mistaken Vettel has always left the other guys enough space. One could think he is talking of a mass murderer. The language unveils the agenda.
Pole is pole. In the same way Vettel made mistakes, so had Webber in this qualifying battle. Vettel could be the better part of 4tenths quicker, when he gets it perfect. But most of the time he gets it oerfect, Webber makes mistakes. When to 2 are on it, they are close maybe 1.5 tenths apart.WhiteBlue wrote:Webber in Monaco and Turkey only got faster because Vettel's car was damaged in both cases. Seems to me as if RB didn't have a race without hitting some sort of trouble. But ! Front wing failure ? Seriously, lol.mrp5150 wrote:Would be nice to see another failure on one of the Red Bull's though. Maybe the front wing will snap off.komninosm wrote:I predict a boring race.
That's the first thing I recognized too. The comments about their suspension / mechanical arrangement being too stiff seem justified after all.Belatti wrote:Was the McLaren jumping all over the place or was just my eyes?
If I remember correctly he gets 10 million pounds. So he gets paid like a driver.marcush. wrote:Once Neweys cars were known for groung height sensitive aero...now they dominate on a track demanding best traction.. times change... wow.
Idon´t know how many millions the guy does earn per year ...he should get more than any driver...
and about vettels startline antics...I think that is not far away from dangerous driving. One time something will happen and thats :causing an avoidable accident..
he simply is not up to the game at the start ,period.
looking at his speed ,he can and shhould work on this now ,as he could improve his
gneral racecraft...but then his car is brilliant..and he´s quicker than his teammate.
Despite those assurances, Red Bull Racing announced on 8 November that Newey would join the team from February 2006. The Guardian newspaper reported that Newey would be getting around $10 million a year at Red Bull Racing, owned by Austrian energy drink billionaire Dietrich Mateschitz, after McLaren baulked at increasing his salary in contract renewal negotiations.
i guess Schumy Chop (previous incarnation) or Senna Chop (pre previous incarnation) is allowed by the FIA.... and every driver has the right to do that one single blocking movedonskar wrote:mx_tifosi wrote:

Have to agree with that. IMHO Vettel is a future WDC, and "future" may be as soon as this year, but he still has some maturing to do. I'm OK with him -- I refuse to grow up myself!
