So Zetsche has signed up until 2013.

And look at the guy who is going to replace him!
I kid you not.... Ladies and gents I give you Wolfgang Bernhard.

Do you really see him canning an F1 project? [-X

At least Schrempp and the daimler execs of old have been banished, now that Zetsche's influence has hit the core of Daimler. Bernhard is one of Zetsche's disciples, and while wanting to forge a name for himself, I think that he shares the same view that F1 is still its flagship motorsport competition.

Is Zetsche going? Damn! I really liked his syle (and his 'tache). Where's he going? Do you have a link for this? I'm quite sad to hear this...

Though I do like the look of the new guy. Any info on him?

Daimler signed Zetsche up to continue as CEO till 2013 in february this year.
Bernhard is a "Zetsche man" and is being groomed to succeed the mustachioed one.
Zetsche will be missed, as he has turned Mercedes on its head. But we still have him for 3 years, and I hope that Mercedes GP can give him a nice send off between now and then.

Here's the link, and I stress this is only rumour..but with some substance.

But if Zetsche has "signed " up to 2013, that is most odd. CEOs dont normally "sign up" to a position with a time limit. Something odd here!

As for Zetsche, the 3 year deal is obviously subject to board and shareholder approval. So if he falls below par, and does not survive a confidence vote, he is out.
And why would that happen with 2010 being Mercedes BEST ever year.

And as for Zetsche, he could face a no-confidence vote at ANY time, not just in 2013. As I said, it would be extemely unusual for a CEO to sign for a specific time. Do you have some info to corroborate this?

Did you not read my post? I said from 2010 to 2013, and he is subject to a vote at ANY TIME.
I know I brought it up but,why are you so focused on him not being there?
I meant it as a a good thing, a continuation of Zetsche's outstanding leadership.... Do you dislike Zetsche? Mercedes? Me?
