I read it, you are intimating the return of Nissan to be a formality, perhaps Using existing Mercedes hardware.
Im merely saying that yes it is plausible, but unlikely.
No harm no foul.

Datsun never became Nissan, "DAT" became Nissan in the 1930s, the Datsun branding was used later for exported models to avoid embarrassment if the venture failed.

remember Yamaha (Judd), Subaru (Motori Moderni), Petronas & Acer (Ferrari) and even bloody Mercedes (Ilmor)!

What I learned was that Mercedes is to go back to be engine-supplier for a winning team only, why swapping engines will result in an official RBR-Mercedes and MGP becoming AMG-Nissan with Renaults featuring valvecovers labelled "2800ZX".
The AMG nissan bit.

The "Im wrong" bit.

Read it and highlighted it. :D

That link does not work.
EDIT. But if you Google Datsun History it seems to take you to that same address but this time it works.

I just got a PM from JET, where he both agrees to wear that stupid Ferrari/Alonso outfit at Hockenheim next year and that this thread is renamed AMG-Nissan GP, can the latter be accommodated dear moderator?

I will see to the former.

Sorry Marcus, i know what u were referring too, i'm just a bit of a Datto buff, only ever owned Datsun 510/1600s since i was licenced :P Its a common mis conception that they "became" Nissan.. The change u were refering to happened sometime in the mid 80s

And a CFD development engineer. This IMO should have been done 3 months ago, and advertising on their webpage seems to intimate that they may be looking outside of F1?
