McLaren have had to make som adjustments to the floor to stand up to the new floor-flexi-test this weekend and according to Tim Goss they have actually made this into a performance gain. Anybody got any ideas on how???

From what I've understood, they've stiffened splitter and at the same time added some minor tweaks.

Actually Red Bull started doing that around Turkey/Canada. Just not as extreme though.

close to what I had thought of ...I ´d think chord should be reduced towards the endplates and the wing should transform from twin element to single element at the outer extremes...

Funny enough that's approaching a renault "W" wing. The interaction between middle and end would be interesting.

Some more info on the F duct. It seems a whole new version was designed for monza.
Maybe one with a lower shark fin duct? and main element stalling instead?
Q: So you will use the F-duct this weekend?
TG: Yes, we’ll be running F-flap at some point on Friday and we’ll make the decision on Friday night as to whether we’ll race with F-flap or a conventional solution. We’ve developed both options for Monza. It’s not straightforward to get the F-flap to work on a low-downforce rear wing, but I think being the leaders in this technology we’re slightly better placed to get the most out of it.
Looks like they're trying to make it work for the low down force wing.
I'm expecting a very narrow shark fin duct. Similar to renault, that allows cross flow from both sides of the wing separated by the duct.
For Sure!!

wont that increase the cross section and so increased drag?

The endplate looks almost 2-piece, a la BMW Sauber/MGP

could be a flexi wing. It has so many gaps between the pieces to allow for relative movement.

I think that's the one from Spa that Hamilton ran, it was a flexi wing but a previous incarnation which was interesting.

Mclaren had a pretty steep AoA in FP1 (one of the steepest, if not the) , while Mercedes GP and Lotus ran the lowest as far as I saw on TV...
