Fernando Alonso has won his first ever GP for Ferrari in front of their home fans, the tifosi. After starting from pole, he chased Button to retake first place after the pitstops. Button came home second with the second Ferrari finished in third place.
Presumably McL want to use the retarded ignition as muxch as possible in practice to build up their data set. Risky strategy considering that over use is thought to have contributed to exhaust & valve failure for RB ealier in the season.
Maybe they're using already used engines, and they are plannig to start with new engines anyway, so it's maybe not bothering them. Just guessing. RBR used a same strategy in Turkey if I remember correctly, and Webber's engine did broke.

Force india looking very strong here. If Luizi is 7th, Sutil could be good for 5th or 4rth fastest.

Do we know which teams were doing back to backs of teatray wings vs f-ducts, and which drivers used each? And which teams have made up their minds on teatrays/fducts?
Complete speedtrap data from the whole shebang. Bear in mind Buemi had a very good tow all the way from the exit of parabolica from Alonso just in front of him.
my impression was that merc was the one of the top teams not using f-duct.
I did not look like they were changing back and forth..but oviously i could be wrong.
At the end of the session both mclarens were slower .. fuel related ,or just collecting aero data whereas Vettel tried to beat jensons time.
Well, the Merc's f-duct was never that great anyway, so it's perfectly understandable that they took it off.
It's the angle of attack of the McLaren wing which just looks weird at Monza. It confirms my suspicion that they are forced to run a certain wing angle with the f-duct, in order for the system to fit. Probably, as ringo has mentioned previously, this is because the system feeds the flap element.
Good to see Jenson bashing round quickly. BBC made the note that running the f-duct is probably to his advantage here as the extra downforce will provide improved braking stability.
