I cannot understand how any true F1 fan could have found it boring?! I wanted Massa to win, not Alonso and am not a Ferrari fan but I still enjoyed it. Classic circuit with real racing right up until chequered flag.

Great race by Alonso, certainly didnt look desperate to me. And loved the moment Button asked Domenicalli for the points standings...

I think all F1 fans will be seething after such a boring race [except fanboys]. I think only Webber made a pass in the entire race [from front-runners].

It may be a classic circuit, but the race was hardly a classic. I did nod off 3 mins before the pit stops, luckily Buttons stop woke me up.

Hamilton in low downforce configuration without F-duct was slower than Button. He would have had 4th tops today.

Having Hamilton out there might have made a boring race in to a slightly more interesting one.

Typical boring Monza race. However, it certainly keeps the overall contest nice and close.

Good drive by Alonso though. Kept the pressure up and capitalised during the pitstop. Good rear gunner drive from Massa - looks like he's settling in to the No. 2 role (although he was feisty in the first corner).

If you seeth you are not much if an f1 fan. Processional races are and have been part of the sport for a couple of decades now. It's like expecting every soccer match to be highscoring.

Since jensons race was all about df I wonder how much he was compromised with his damaged diffuser.

Very good lap of Alonso, outclassed them all. Button makes sure that he isn't a second driver at McLaren and Webber makes the most of it.

I don't think the RedBull will be capable of overtaking, Hamilton will struggle tomorrow so I predict: Alonso, Button, Massa.

Exactly, and then I realized Button was going on cruise mode and he wouldn't attempt a pass, neither would Massa and I dozed off again.
Boring...

PS: I was expecting Alonso to at least attempt a pass before the pitstops, with Button having such a setup and being a reasonable driver when he defends [no chops and crap].

Maybe not much passing but pleanty of close racing but F1 has always been like that. Rose tinted glasses tend to make us all say there is not enough passing as we only remember the passes and not the racing between the passes.

If you want loads of passing buy a Playstation and a copy of Grand Tourismo.

I'm a Hamilton fan, and although I am seething over his retirement the battle between Alonso, Button and their pitcrews was fascinating. And its probably better for Hamilton that Alonso won than Button.

Also, unless Hamilton's car gets a HUGE update for Singapore, I think this championship is Webber's to lose. Maybe Alonso may be in with a chance as well if he can stop making mistakes and his car can be competitive for the next 5 race weekends.

It certainly helps your enjoyment if you are a Ferrari fan. The rest will not remember this very easily. Part and Parcel of F1, but this was NOT a classic.

Mx as a moderator, dont you think you lean to heavily to one side or the other at times? I think Komnosium(komninosm *edited twice ) made a valid point.
