I don't think its so much missed as perhaps it hasn't come across as you may have anticipated. Apologies for the misread, I on occasion think things then write, only to find it contrived.

How cool would it be if Hamilton turns round after winning in Monaco in the press conference and said "Damn, I'm Hanging!!!!"
Or Kubica say he's getting laid to celebrate his first win?(Lucky girl I'm sure )
Point is its not the act itself, its the connection we get that the people we put on pedestals are in fact very much Human like ourselves, empathy if you like.

Its weird how I remain unmoved by Schumachers tears after beating Senna's pole record. Why? I think its because he was so unemotional in the years preceding that!

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but Hunt and Raikkonen won their one and only championships by a single point. Just another coincidence in the many things they have in common.

I'm a great fan of James Hunt. ..
The one (also witnessed by many, believed by few) I like more is this: once, when he was being paid by Marlboro to race, he went to a store on the track to buy a pack of cigarettes of a different brand, in full view of spectators....

Then there was the scandal when he refused to sign a contract that forced him to wear sponsor's clothes to parties and galas... He went barefooted and in a T-shirt. That, man, is an attitude I love.

...I also remember the time he had a row with Max Mosley (yes, that Mosley) when his car broke and he took a car of a different team to be able to race.
