A liberal view of the facts. In 2005 Mark was easily beaten by Nick Heidfeld at Williams for the first 14 races they contested. Then Nick had to stop the season due to a bike accident. Mark wasn't destroying anybody that season unless you count the Pizza boy.

And your claim of a few 100th's is not supportable. The average dry qualifying time difference without even considering damaged cars was 0.15 s. That is as clear as it can get.
Are you serious?? easily beaten by Nick Heidfeld? please explain...maybe with another fact table.....

The anti Webber sentiment in your posts are getting more than obvious.

You can count the 2005 WDC points of the first 14 races just as easily as I can. Why should I do the job? Tip: Heidfeld had 14% more points.

Can you boys please take this to fanboy ying-yang thread? It's cluttering up this race thread.

Thanks.

Maybe to increase spectator attendance during the race weekend.

That's probably the reason. I guess this is one way to avoid the "empty areas" on whent he camera films them for TV broadcasts.

They look like some kind of voodoo scarecrows to me.

Vis-à-vis the argument going on about Webber vs Vettel in qualifying, there has been an average of 0.01s gap between them during 2010 (in the last part of qualifying in which both appeared). Stats taken from here. Looks like WB should be giving Webber some more credit.

Don't hold your breath there mate. The fact is that Webber is ahead on points and nothing else matters when all is said and done.

Musings about KIC:

The criticism of the Korean International Circuit in the media seems to continue although Bernie Ecclestone and Herman Tilke have done a lot of explaining. People seem to think that they would arrive at a new Monaco and enjoy the luxuries of old European holiday resorts. That seems a bit naive after the reports about the Korean venue in the past months.

The KIC is designed as a green site venue which is half permanent circuit and half city circuit in a city that the Koreans only intend to build over the next seven or eight years. In fact the circuit is the first of many building projects worth a multiple of what has been spent by now. So anybody going there for the next five years must know that he will be living in a development.

People have compared the KIC to Istanbul Park which is a fantastic racing circuit but isn't enjoying anywhere near the spectator attraction of one of the old European venues. I do not believe that this is likely to happen in Korea. If you see the enthusiasm that the Japanese have about their racing it is hard to imagine that Korean people who aspire to emulate Japan will be much behind that.

The biggest criticism by far is the remote location which is about 400 km from the next international airport. Knowing Bernie Ecclestone is hard to believe that he should have overlooked that little complication. The conclusion is that there must be a huge development plan for the infra structure in the works like they are doing in India. There they are building a huge motorway to connect the F1 site with the city center and the airport. My guess is that the Koreans will have a plan for an international airport close to Mokpo the nearest city to Yeongam and they may extend the high speed train link from Mokpo to the KIC.

So I'm waiting to see the missing link to emerge which should not take that much time with the international F1 media arriving now to Korea and likely to ask questions.
