My vedict is still out on Jenson Button. I'm not sure if he's a pretender or contendor based on 2003's performance. I'll let you know in 2004.

Williams driver line up for 2005.

Who do we know who started their carear with Williams as a youngster and took the fight to Schumi Jnr  ? Who is also in regular contact with Sir Frank O:) ? Who rose bueatifully to the challenges a certain JV  threw down at the begining of this year :D ?

Its got to be Jenson Button

What do you guys think :?:
:!: :?: :!: :?: There are some gossips that BP is trying to take Petrobras from Williams in order to sponsor Weber in 2005. An english driver, for an english company in an english team makes sense, isn't it?

Contender: Maybe he hasn't demonstrated it in terms of race results, but except for his first season at Renault (where the whole team was in turmoil and he was told to drive around the deficiencies in the car, including no power-steering and a shoulder injury) he has consistently matched or exceeded his teamate's performances.

So that’s Ralph, Jarno and Jacques.

He’s not fazed by pressure, he works hard, he's talented and he hasn't had the best of equipment, yet! 2004 will be a good test of his metal, he's BAR's no. 1, another first and a real challenge to the maturing JB.

What ever happens over the next two years, I think we are in for some epic battles: Young guns, old pros, rule stability, close racing and an abundance of talent and determination. All we need now is some good old-fashioned overtaking opportunities!

Looking at Button's recent tantrums about Raikonnen and Alonso hogging the limelight, I think it makes me want to believe that he's just a whinny pretender.

you know what I think here about Button...

the guy is jealous about Webber, (although he shouldn't be with his BAR), Alonso and Raikkonen. Maybe more so, he has still not forgotten his bad year at Benetton/Renault, which may be why he is picking on Renault all the time, and saying he will rise to the top 4, together with Kimi and company

No more excuses for Button, 2004 is the year to prove his worth. 8) :) Considering BAR are all behind him and placing him as #1 driver, lot of people dont believe in Button though I'm hoping he proves all of them wrong.

Frank Williams is probably following very close the McLaren performance this begining of the year. He will laught a lot if the have a bad performance and Montoya will be very preoccupied...
He will now be in doubt if he had the right choice

Montoya sounds like a bit of an unprofessional, whining spoilt child if the latest reports about the real reason behind his move to McLaren are to be are to be believed! Every one seems to put it down to his fiery South American temprement but there is no excuse for a bad attitude. He's chosen the wrong team if he thinks he will find a number one status at McLaren too. Williams is a racing team that is there to do just that...race,and it seems that three seasons in and Montoya still can't handle having to share the teams attentions.Unfortunate!
