Ferrari are complaining to FIA about the incident between Rosberg and Alonso in FP3, they are hoping to get him sanctioned to get Massa up to 5:th and on the clean side.

I'm afraid not. Alonso, Massa, Rosberg and Schuie are talking to the stewards at the moment apparently.

What does Massa have to do with anything?

Rosberg blocked Alonso in FP3
Schumacher (apparently - didn't see it myself) blocked Rubens in Q2

What's Massa doing there and where's Rubens?

Hello everyone!!
Good qualifying session, panned out pretty much as was expected. Quite similar really to Japan and Singapore; RBR and Ferrari were pretty much matched in terms of pace, but RBR just having that tiny bit extra (and Vettle having the tiniest bit extra on Webber). McLarens didn't have it to match them both. Am a little confused about Massa, he looked pretty solid in Q1 and Q2!

Interesting to see the top three drivers' reaction when they approached the weighing machine, Alonso and Webber pretty bemused at seeing the time margin to P1, Vettle though was just enjoying it, not concerned, maybe he was just happy(and relieved!!) to have made it.

For the race tomorrow, I think it won't be as straightforward as it was in Suzuka. The result will really depend on two things
1. How the RBRs start, not just off the line, but also at the start and the end of the back straight in lap 1;
2. Which way Farrari's tyre strategy materialises.

Personally, I don't think both RBRs will lead at the end of lap 1. They have a considerable disadvantage in the first sector, compared to Ferrari. But they are just devouring 2 to 3 tenths in the third sector. I mean, Vettle, in both his runs in Q3, was well down on Alonso coming off sector 2, but just shaved off 3 tenths in sector 3 :wtf: :? :? !!!

Well the speed trap says he better haul that red ass, full of gas, tomorrow for 50 laps  . That sector1 was strange judging from the top speeds. I guess he really squeezed that one out.
He was wise to line up behind the others as well to maximize the rubber they laid down.
For Sure!!

Webber seems to be slower in sector 1, and is 2kph slower than Vettel in the speed trap. Does Webber have more downforce? Maybe an advantage in the wet.

At this stage I would gladly trade a win by the Boss, for Fred finishing on the second step, than the "other guys"

Two tweets by Lobato (Spanish commentator)
Ferrari pide a la FIA que sancionen a ROS por el incidente con ALO en libres 3. Si hay sancion MAS saldria 5 en lugar de 6 por la z limpia.

MAS ALO ROS y SCHU declaran en estos momentos en la FIA
Translates roughly to:
Ferrari asks FIA to penalize ROS for the incident involving ALO in FP3. If they are penalized, MAS would start from 5:th instead of 6:th and on the clean side.

MAS ALO ROS & SCHU are currently in front of the FIA declaring their cases

If this is true, it would be a disgrace for Ferrari, if they get through with it it would be a disaster and a disgrace for the F1. Hope it is a hoax.

Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

thats how the graining looks like ...

As it is restricted to the centre of the tread I wonder if this is also a result of the tyre pressure ...wouldn´d you expect the stress to be even higher on the outer edge of the tread?
